This is one of those inventions that seems so obvious in hindsight, but a company called Reevu have come out with a motorbike helmet that incorporates a rear-view mirror. It seems that the view behind the rider is transferred across the top of the helmet in a periscope-type fashion and then projected as a heads-up display on the visor.
I can't work out if that might be distracting, but they spent 10 years developing it, so I'm hoping not. The mirrors on my bike are crap at showing me anything but my own elbows anyway, so I might give one of these a try at some point.

Also, sorry for the lack of posts recently, but we're moving house imminently, and the preparation is eating up all my spare time. I'll be back on the case a bit more again in a few weeks.
