Palladium is bad news I reckon, and you won't find me touching it with a barge pole.
I'm with Cringeley - check his old articles on it here and here. There was even some talk somewhere about the possibility of Microsoft destabilising IPv4 somehow to promote Palladium as the default replacement protocol for the internet. That is a nightmare in the making, I tell you.
I say everyone should use a Macintosh or Linux wherever possible, or even Solaris or some other UNIX if you're geeky enough - Microsoft already own too much on my desktop and I'm not giving them my data and my network as well.........
